André Thornton, PAHS and major league baseball great, was the guest of honor at PAHS yesterday, as a ceremony retiring his baseball jersey #29 took place prior to the Phantoms game against Pottsgrove. Thornton was a 1967 PAHS graduate, and went on to play major league baseball, retiring as a Cleveland Indian. He has been inducted into multiple Hall of Fame organizations, and is currently the CEO of a very successful business in Cleveland. Phoenixville is extremely proud of this native son, and congratulates him on this most recent honor.
